Wii Paranoia...

My husband and daughter are licking batteries...

It's been that sort of morning. I have a photo shoot this morning and with us sharing a car, that meant that church was out of the question. Instead, I spent some time catching up on things and working on my sister's baby quilt. Genny spent the morning doing homework and Chw, bless his heart, went about sanding the barstools we are doing.

And then the power went out on half of our outlets. Oddly, none of them were connected. It was a random outage here and there.

With it, however, it seems to have taken the life of our wii.

I'm sad. Gen is really sad but Chw- he is really, REALLY heartbroken. Sad.

Enjoying a good mystery, however, we put our sadness aside to try and figure out why it happened. This was when our first smoke detector beeped once. A few minutes later, one upstairs (which isn't wired to it at all) beeped once. Back and forth they beeped, each beep causing my paranoia to rise closer to the surface.

All I could think of was how a friend's house, in Michigan, burned down due to an electrical fire.

Chw changed the batteries, (thus the licking of old batteries) and thus far, no beeping.

Scary though, none the less... Because what could have killed the Wii through the surge protector that all of our entertainment stuff survived in, as well as it's own surge protector chord?

Strange...

{In other news, I have this weeks Meal Plan up here.

We would have to pull out the ashes and sack cloth if our wii died. My deepest condolences for your loss.

That totally stinks about your Wii. Hopefully you will figure out the cause of the strange electrical stuff. Could it be a ghost? (Kidding. At least I hope I am kidding.)

How weird. If our Wii went it would be sad, too. But, the electrical stuff would freak me out. I would be paranoid. Please keep us posted.

We thought our Wii died after a power outage, but I looked it up online and they gave us tips about how to fix it. Something about unplugging and replugging cords...but in a very particular order. It worked! You should see if it works for you. Check out their website.
