Did you know that I am that girl who over commits?
It's true. I am.
No problem, I can write that proposal for you. Email me the specifics. Sure thing...
I'd love to take on any extra reviews this month, no big deal.
You want me to help you start that book club? I'd love it!
Bake two cakes? Of course, why only one? I mean, two sounds much better...
Yesterday I was so incredibly busy that I didn't even start the backed up laundry that Chw so desperately needs done.
I thought he'd understand. I mean, it was the first day of Bloggy Giveaways... There were already over 500 contests!
Oh yeah... I'm that girl too.
The one so easily distracted by the things which shouldn't be the most important.
I'll confess, there have been times when I have ran upstairs to "hop online" and "check the bank statement" before heading to the market, only to breeze through email first, and then skim my reader... Oh yeah, and better pop into Myspace real quick. (You know, KL emails me there and all.)
An hour later, with gobs of guilt seeping off of my flesh, I muster my way to the car...
I did something utterly crafty last night with my sewing machine. ALL IN ONE NIGHT.
And, with peacock feathers all puffed out in pride, i learned something...
THE RUMORS ARE TRUE!
When you set your mind do something, you can do it.
you just have to, well, do it. (As Nike has been telling us, all along!)
So this morning, I decided to just do it:
- to work out.
- to begin sewing the quilt I'm making.
- to start more laundry.
- to load, and run, the dishwasher.
- to make this art project that I need to make, (which consists of sanding, gluing, painting and mounting.)
- to thaw something wonderful for dinner (rather than Morningstar Farms for, yet another, night.)
- to finish putting together our family "control center".
And you know what?
It's 10:40 in the morning and here is what I've accomplished:
- load and run dishwasher.
- iron piece (ONE PIECE) of fabric.
- check email.
- accept stupid Facebook invitation.
- Weed through 77 Facebook application invites.
- take Facebook "What kind of Mother are you?" Quiz.
- Text message Bekah and Amanda.
- Join facebook Mob.
- create dumb Mob name.
- Look at reader.
I am a horrible, horrible person... It's like some catastrophic form of ADD and the internet is my Ridilin...

ok misty, I could copy and paste this post onto my myspace blog and it would be completely true. guilty.
Hey, the dishes and laundry are started. Thanks for reminding me that I have clothes in the washer that need to go to the dryer. FROM YESTERDAY!
been there, done that!
well, as i still sit here reading blogs Jenni, glad I could help. :)
And Jennie, Oh... We should live on the same street. I don't think we'd be like this if we lived near each other. Surely we wouldn't. Right?
Lol - I think the internet is the cause of ADD for most of us. It is just the ultimate satisfaction!
I am one of those that can copy and paste this too.. I am totally an over commiter. (is that even a word?)
Too funny!
And Morningstar Farms makes a perfectly acceptable meal!
At least you ran the dishwasher.
You are too funny!
Sometimes I think about how much more time I'd have if I didn't have a computer. But then I think of someone that I need to email or a blog I want to read. I'm doomed!!!
This is so me......what's the problem again?
Hey you started some of it! You did! It'll be fine.
I never would have guessed that you over-commit. Certainly not based on the crazy over-achieving goals you posted earlier this month!
:D
Some days, I just have to turn the computer off and make myself do things, too. Once I get to e-mail, it's too easy to do all the blogging stuff, too.
Yay! You did the dishes! :)
What is this cool giveaway carnival you speak of? I think I need to check this out, fun!
you know....if my boss hadn't banned me from using the internet for personal use, i would get nothing done at work.
i've only just started facebook and i'm finding it is a HUGE waster of time. but i can't seem to stop myself!
Don't be so hard on yourself - we all need SOMETHING for us, don't we?
I hear you! I've been sucked into the vortex that is the Internet since school let out in June, and I am just now getting to the point where I am ready for the Intervention. I won't be able to keep his up once school starts, so I'm not doing anything except Cre8buzz, my reader, and my blog. But I am deleting a blog each time that I add one, and sometimes I just clear the whole thing and start over. Maybe we should sponsor each other at B.A.?
okay, i swear you must be my long lost twin lol.. we think/act too much alike.
Hugs Misty. and I LOVE the apron! it's gorgeous. And the quilts! I'm jealous!
YOU and I have way too much in common!
I havn't ventured into the facebook thing yet though...
